In 1997 a group of enthusiastic people in Albert Falls, and adjacent area, met and decided to form an organisation to promote what was available for tourism in their areas..........
With the help of Councilor Candice Seymour and Steve Botha of the then Indlovu Regional Council. We celebrated a Grand Opening of THE ALBERT FALLS AMBLE on the 29th March 1998. The official launch address was by Dr Ian player.
The Fish Eagle bird was chosen by all as our emblem, as its haunting call is heard throughout the area.
The Amble is spreading with each publication of our brochure. At the A.G.M. in 2001 it was decided and voted that the Name would change to just " THE AMBLE" due to the large area was yet again changed The name was yet again changed to THE Midlands Amble KZN in 2012, on the request of N3 Gateway Organisation , who help to distribute our brochure in other Provinces.
